Marie holds a BSc in Geography and Geology and a MSc in Environmental Modelling Monitoring and Reconstruction.

Marie worked for 5 years as part of RedR (disaster relief engineering) programme in India, lectured at Newcastle University and later became the Tanzanian Project Leader for the London School of Hygiene Tropical Medicine and consultant.  From 2012 Marie has worked in developing partnerships between industry and academia in Wales.
