Magnus is an Innovation Manager within ORE Catapult’s Marine Energy Engineering Centre of Excellence (MEECE).

Magnus has worked in offshore renewables for 10 years, after firstly becoming inspired by the marine energy activity on his home island, Orkney. He moved to Wales in 2013 to complete an Engineering Doctorate (EngD) whilst part of a team that designed, installed and tested Wales’ first grid connected tidal stream turbine. He has since led many offshore renewable energy R&D projects, particularly in the tidal stream and floating offshore wind sectors.
